Pressure Control
Fluid regulators designed to maintain a constant upstream pressure in dyeing machinery lines prevent variations in liquor delivery to the textile substrate. The backpressure equalization valve balances the hydraulic forces across the manifold to ensure uniform penetration of dye liquor. By absorbing pressure spikes from pump cycles, the device ensures a steady flow rate through the fabric beam or package.
This constant pressure is necessary to achieve uniform dye distribution across the entire batch.
Mechanical Operation
Internal springs and diaphragms respond to fluctuations in the main feed line to modulate the internal orifice size. When the pump discharge pressure rises, the backpressure equalization valve opens wider to permit greater flow toward the return line. This mechanical compensation limits flow variations to less than two percent.
It stabilizes the system without requiring electronic sensors.
System Integration
Installation of these units occurs directly downstream from the main circulating pump in high-temperature dyeing pressurized vessels. Technicians adjust the tensioning screw to match the target resistance of the specific fabric structure. During the cycle, the valve prevents channel formation in the yarn packages by smoothing out pressure surges.
Performance Output
Inspection of the valve diaphragm occurs during scheduled preventative maintenance shut downs. Mechanical failure or wear leads to pressure drops that compromise shade consistency.
