Certification Standard
Global standard for the processing of organic fibres throughout the entire supply chain. Compliance with gots 6.0 ensures that textiles are produced with environmental and social responsibility. The criteria cover every stage from harvesting raw materials to the final distribution.
This version updated the previous requirements to include more stringent limits on synthetic inputs and wastewater parameters.
Material Input
Certification requires that at least seventy percent of the total fibre content originates from organic sources. In the gots 6.0 framework, all organic fibres must be certified according to an approved national or international standard.
Environmental Criterion
Chemical inputs such as dyes and auxiliaries undergo rigorous assessment to verify they are free from hazardous substances. Factories must implement a policy to minimize waste and discharges during the production of gots 6.0 goods.
Social Compliance
Labor conditions are monitored based on the principles of the international labour organization. Every facility involved in the gots 6.0 supply chain must provide safe working environments and fair wages. This section includes requirements for freedom of association and the prohibition of child labor.
Auditors conduct on site inspections to verify that these social benchmarks are consistently met by the mill management.
