Processing Auxiliary
Chemical agents used in textile wet processing prevent the formation of permanent folds and running marks during rope dyeing. An anti crease lubricant minimizes fabric-to-fabric and fabric-to-metal friction inside jet dyeing machines. This formulation works by forming a uniform water-bearing film around the fabric rope, ensuring that the textile slides smoothly over itself and internal machine surfaces.
Such lubrication is especially necessary for high-density fabrics containing regenerated cellulose or synthetic fibres.
Mechanical Lubrication
Frictional resistance increases when fabric ropes are subjected to rapid circulation and high temperatures under pressure. Using a suitable anti crease lubricant reduces the mechanical stress placed on the yarn structure during these aggressive cycles. This lubrication prevents the rope from remaining in a single folded configuration for too long, allowing the creases to shift constantly.
In this way, the treatment blocks the heat-setting of permanent crease lines in the fabric substrate.
Application Parameter
Dyeing recipes require careful adjustment when incorporating process additives to avoid interfering with dye uptake or dispersion stability. The concentration of the anti crease lubricant depends on the fabric weight, machine load, and liquor ratio. Typical dosages range from one to three grams per litre of dyebath.
Adding the agent before dye injection ensures complete dispersion throughout the processing liquor.
Quality Control
Finishing mills inspect processed lots for physical defects such as rope marks and patchy dye absorption. The choice of an anti crease lubricant must not affect the final hand or lead to spots. Visual inspection under standard light booths confirms the absence of crease-induced shade variations.
