Process Lubricant
High performance oils created through the chemical reaction of alcohols and organic acids provide superior lubrication for textile machinery. Synthetic ester lubricants are used in high speed spinning and texturing because they offer better thermal stability than traditional mineral oils. They form a thin and durable film on the surface of the yarn.
These molecules are engineered to resist oxidation even under extreme conditions.
Thermal Resistance
Ability of the lubricant to withstand the high temperatures of the heater plates in a texturing machine prevents the formation of deposits. Synthetic ester lubricants do not break down into tar or varnish as easily as other oils. This keeps the machine parts clean and reduces the frequency of maintenance.
Environmental Impact
Biodegradability of the processing chemicals is an important consideration for modern textile mills. Many synthetic ester lubricants are designed to be more environmentally friendly and easier to remove during the scouring process. They reduce the chemical load in the factory wastewater treatment plant.
Yarn Friction
Reduction of the drag as the yarn moves over metal or ceramic surfaces is essential for preventing filament breakage. Synthetic ester lubricants provide a low and consistent coefficient of friction. This results in a yarn that has better package build and improved performance in subsequent knitting or weaving.
