Mechanical Processing
Physical and chemical interventions during rope-form wet processing protect synthetic and blended fabrics from permanent crease line defects. A comprehensive rope mark prevention strategy combines the use of lubricating agents with specific machine adjustments to keep the fabric rope from folding in the same position repeatedly. This approach is essential for heavy woven synthetics that are highly sensitive to thermal creasing.
Process Auxiliaries
Special chemical lubricants are added to the dye bath to reduce fabric-to-fabric and fabric-to-metal friction. These rope mark prevention additives allow the fabric to slide smoothly inside the machine, preventing the tight folds that can trap heat and lock in creases. This treatment is particularly necessary during the rapid heating and cooling phases of the dye cycle.
Industrial Output
Adjusting the nozzle pressure and the basket rotation speed helps to constantly change the fold pattern of the moving fabric rope. Successful rope mark prevention ensures that the fabric emerges from the jet dyeing machine with a smooth, unblemished surface. This quality is verified by inspecting the dried fabric under a standard light box before cutting.
Processing Boundary
This prevention technique operates during the wet processing phase. It cannot correct existing creases that have already been heat-set.
