Migration Inhibitor
Natural polysaccharides derived from seaweed prevent the movement of dye particles during the drying phase of continuous dyeing. This anti migrant sodium alginate prevents the migration of dissolved dyes to the surface of the fabric as moisture evaporates. The substance creates a gel network that holds dye in place until heat fixation occurs.
Effective blockage of capillary action is the primary mechanism for ensuring that the dye stays exactly where the pad rollers deposited it.
Viscosity Management
High molecular weight chains within the compound provide the thickness necessary for the dye liquor. A specific concentration ensures the liquid does not run or spread into undesired areas of the pattern. Maintaining a stable rheology is required for uniform shade depth across the width of the roll.
Process Application
Use of the agent occurs primarily in the pad dry thermofix sequence. It is added to the pad box alongside reactive or disperse dyes. Even application across the fabric face determines the final levelness of the color.
Solubility Level
The chemical does not react with the fiber or the dye molecule itself. It remains soluble and washes out during the final soaping stages of production. Leaving no residue is essential to maintain the soft hand feel of the finished garment.
