Protective Membrane
Packaging components isolate sensitive cargo from external atmospheric contaminants and liquid ingress. A barrier film liner provides a physical shield inside shipping containers to prevent grease or ocean spray from reaching raw wool bales or finished apparel. It separates the goods from the floor and walls of the transport vessel.
Material Composition
Multilayer polyethylene or specialized polymers provide the strength and impermeability required for international transit. Every barrier film liner undergoes testing for puncture resistance and tensile strength to withstand the movement of heavy textile bales. These materials often include additives to block ultraviolet light or static electricity.
Moisture Control
Humidity management depends on the low water vapour transmission rate of the plastic shield. By sealing the interior of a carton or container, the barrier film liner prevents the absorption of ambient moisture that causes mildew or weight gain in hygroscopic fibres. Controlled environments stay dry even when the outside air is saturated.
Shipping Integrity
International logistics chains use these liners to maintain the clean condition of premium whites and light coloured fabrics. Proper installation avoids gaps that would allow dust or pests to penetrate the package. Failure to secure the liner leads to contamination that requires expensive reprocessing or rejection at the destination mill.
