Thermal Adjustment
Dynamic control of burner output or chemical feed rates in continuous textile ovens prevents the over-processing or under-processing of fabrics during changes in machine velocity. Continuous finishing lines apply line speed acceleration compensation to modulate the energy supply as the run transitions from a standstill to its operational velocity.
Mechanism Application
When a stenter frame accelerates, the dwell time of the fabric in the heating chamber decreases. To keep the heat-setting or curing process constant, the control system must increase the air temperature or intensity. Conversely, when the machine slows down, the compensation system reduces the thermal input to avoid fabric yellowing.
Chemical Dosage
Pad-dry-cure operations must balance the liquid uptake of the fabric with the drying capacity of the oven. If the speed rises without line speed acceleration compensation, the fabric leaves the dryer damp, which can cause mildew or uneven polymer cross-linking.
Quality Checkpoint
The transition zones of a production batch often suffer from width variation or uneven shade when the compensation is poorly calibrated. Accurate compensation reduces the amount of waste generated during startup and shutdown phases of the finishing run. By automating this adjustment, the finish remains consistent across the entire length of the treated roll.
