Equipment Configuration
Industrial dyeing system that applies chemistry through immersion followed by pressurized thermal fixation allows for the high speed processing of woven fabrics. The pad steam continuous range consists of a padding mangle and a steamer. Fabric enters the mangle where it is saturated with dye liquor.
It then passes into the steamer to lock the color into the fibers. This setup is designed for long production runs where color consistency from start to finish is paramount. It reduces water and energy consumption compared to traditional exhaust dyeing methods.
Chemical Fixation
Heat and moisture inside the steamer facilitate the diffusion of reactive or vat dyes into the cellulose structure. This part of the pad steam continuous range maintains a temperature of 100 to 104 degrees Celsius. Rapid fixation prevents the dye from migrating to the fabric surface.
Throughput Efficiency
Continuous operation eliminates the downtime associated with batch dyeing methods like jet or beck dyeing. A pad steam continuous range can process thousands of meters of fabric in a single shift. Uniformity is maintained by constant monitoring of the liquor level and steam pressure.
Operational Limit
Suitability of this method is restricted to fabrics that can withstand the mechanical tension of the rollers. Fragile knits or elastic materials might distort when pulled through a pad steam continuous range. Heavy cotton drills and polyester blends are the primary candidates for this industrial setup.
