Measurement Principle
Flow measurement instrument used to determine the mass of liquids or gases by observing the inertia of the fluid as it passes through vibrating tubes. A coriolis mass flow meter provides direct mass flow data without requiring external calculations for temperature or pressure compensation. Precise dosing of high viscosity chemical additives and finishing agents relies on this hardware.
Operational Logic
Phase shifts in the vibrating tubes are measured to determine the mass flow rate of the liquid. Because a coriolis mass flow meter is unaffected by changes in the fluid density, the readings remain accurate across different chemical batches.
Fluid Density
Mass is the only property that remains constant across varying environmental conditions in a mill. Using a coriolis mass flow meter ensures that the exact weight of dye is delivered to the machine regardless of the temperature or pressure of the line.
Installation Boundary
Continuous monitoring of the fluid allows for real time adjustments to the concentration of the chemical feed. A coriolis mass flow meter detects small changes in the density of the mixture which might indicate an error in the initial preparation of the stock solution. If the density deviates from the expected profile, the system can trigger an alarm to prevent the contamination of the fabric lot.
Mechanical installation must be rigid to prevent external vibrations from interfering with the internal sensor readings.
