Flow Modulation
Internal control valve components that establish a direct proportional relationship between stem movement and flow rate manage liquid delivery in wet processing. Installing a linear control valve trim allows textile finishing lines to modulate the flow of low viscosity chemical treatments with high accuracy. This trim configuration features a constant flow area increase per unit of stroke.
Dosing Precision
Pad bath replenishment relies on this linear characteristic to maintain the liquid level within close tolerances during high speed processing. When fabric speeds fluctuate, the controller adjusts the valve position to match the exact consumption rate calculated by the line sensors. Flow rate calculations remain simple because a fifty percent valve opening delivers fifty percent of the maximum flow.
System Configuration
Industrial valves with this internal setup use contour plugs or slotted cages to shape the flow path. Maintenance procedures demand routine inspection of the seat and plug to prevent erosion from abrasive chemicals. Stainless steel alloys or specialized coatings protect these components from early failure.
Pressure Restriction
Operating pressure differentials constrain the utility of this trim type in high pressure drops. When the pressure differential across the valve exceeds fifteen bar, the linear trim design becomes susceptible to cavitation, which damages the internal surfaces.
