Balancing Action
Pressure adjustment balances the hydraulic force across multiple outlet jets in a multi-tube jet dyeing machine to ensure that each fabric strand experiences identical flow. Mills utilize parallel nozzle equalization to prevent shading differences between separate tubes of the same production run. Flow imbalances cause one strand to receive more dye liquor than another, leading to inconsistent color.
Balanced distribution ensures that chemicals are distributed evenly along every meter of the processed rope.
Engineering Stage
At the start of a dye cycle, technicians adjust the throttle valves to achieve equal backpressure on all manifold lines. Handheld flow meters or pressure gauges verify that each nozzle operates at the same level. This manual adjustment is vital for multi-tube configurations.
Pressure Variance
Deviations in pressure between parallel nozzles should remain below five percent of the target operating pressure. When pressure varies too much, fabric rope speeds become unequal and yarn tension fluctuates. Such variations result in different levels of dye absorption across the tubes.
Color Outcome
Equal flow rates across all nozzles result in identical fabric treatment and shade uniformity. Consistent rope speeds mean that both strands finish the cycle with the same physical characteristics. This prevents the costly separation of fabric batches.
