Removal Zone
Specified volumes of air surrounding a target particle define the area where mechanical force is applied to divert material into the waste stream. Establishing clear pneumatic ejection envelopes ensures that a single contaminated tuft is removed without pulling the entire column of cotton. The shape of this zone is determined by nozzle geometry and air pressure.
Precision keeps losses to a minimum while maintaining 100 percent removal rates.
Spatial Timing
Air takes time to reach the target after the solenoid opens, requiring advance timing in the vision software. Inside the travel area, pneumatic ejection envelopes must overlap exactly with the calculated trajectory of the contaminant. If the timing is out by even three milliseconds, the envelope strikes clean cotton instead of the targeted trash.
Air Consumption
Larger envelopes consume more compressed air and increase the operational overhead of the spinning facility. When pneumatic ejection envelopes are tuned for tight margins, the air jets use less energy per ejection. This also lowers the volume of high value fibre lost in the sorting process.
Nozzle wear can broaden these envelopes over time, leading to less precise hits. Regular pressure checks ensure the force remains constant throughout the shift.
Recovery Efficiency
Maintaining small precise boundaries allows the clearer to tackle multiple debris items located close together. Efficient envelopes minimize material turbulence inside the ductwork.
