Precision Mix
Industrial technique for the simultaneous delivery of base chemicals and catalysts in textile finishing. Production machines utilize two component dosing to maintain the correct ratio of resin to softener during high speed processing. This method prevents the premature hardening of the chemical mix before it reaches the fabric surface.
Proportional Control
Precise pumps meter each liquid stream into a static mixer just before the application point. If the ratio of the catalyst varies, the finish may fail to cure properly or the fabric handle might become brittle. Constant monitoring of the flow rates ensures that the chemical properties remain uniform across the entire production lot.
Operational Timing
Mixing the components immediately before use allows for the employment of highly reactive substances that have a very short lifespan. Continuous delivery reduces the frequency of tank cleaning and chemical disposal. This approach minimizes the volume of wasted chemicals if the machine stops for an extended period.
Output Stability
Consistency in the application of finishes depends on the mechanical reliability of the dosing unit. Quality technicians verify the accuracy of the pump settings by measuring the volume of each component consumed over a specific period. If the pump pressure drops, the resulting fabric may lack the necessary chemical coverage to pass performance tests.
The boundary of this stability is the viscosity of the liquids, which must remain within the operating parameters of the pump. Reliable dosing is required to meet technical specifications for water repellency or flame retardance.
