Bath Stabilization
Continuous addition of concentrated chemicals and water to a wet processing bath maintains a stable volume and concentration of active agents as the textile moves through the system. In industrial continuous dyeing and scouring, liquor replenishment ensures that the fabric absorbs a consistent amount of chemicals from the beginning to the end of the roll.
Depletion Correction
High-speed pad-batch and continuous lines consume large volumes of the treatment bath because the dry fabric quickly sucks up the liquid. This consumption creates a continuous drop in bath level. Controlled liquor replenishment counters this effect by using automated monitoring and dosing loops.
Operational Limit
When the replenishment rate is not aligned with the fabric weight and pickup percentage, tailing occurs, which results in a gradual color or finish change along the fabric length. This risk is highest in long runs where slight imbalances accumulate.
System Feedback
Automated systems utilize flow meters and conductivity sensors to calculate the precise volume of replenishment needed. In advanced dyehouses, the dosing software adjusts the concentration of the incoming feed according to the measured absorption of the substrate. This dynamic adjustment prevents both the waste of chemical agents and the occurrence of patchy finishes.
