Fabric Treatment
Wet processing of textiles in a flat, unroped state removes chemical residues and unfixed dyestuffs without creating permanent creases. This methodology, known as continuous open width washing, operates by running the textile web through sequential bath chambers at high tension. High efficiency spray nozzles and vacuum slots assist in removing impurities during the rapid passage of the fabric.
Machine Configuration
Industrial washing ranges consist of entry guides, chemical reaction compartments, wash boxes, and extraction units. The fabric travels over a series of top and bottom rollers that maintain uniform tension across the entire width of the material. This layout prevents the formation of running creases that frequently occur when delicate fabrics are processed in rope form.
Counter-current water flow ensures that fresh water enters at the exit of the machine and moves toward the entry, optimizing chemical concentration gradients and reducing overall consumption.
Performance Factor
Water temperature and chemical dosing rates determine the efficiency of the extraction process during wash cycles. Inadequate execution of continuous open width washing leaves alkali or unfixed dye on the fibres, which causes shading and rubbing fastness failures.
Production Checkpoint
Quality control teams verify the washing effectiveness by testing the pH and conductivity of the fabric extract. Standardized guidelines require these checks at specified production intervals to guarantee consistent colour fastness and finish quality across different dye lots.
